Listen to your body. Protect yourself from the cold and take heart health seriously.

Cold air isn’t just tough on your skin—it can sneak up on your heart, too. ❄️💔

According to Ascension Illinois cardiologist Dr. Andrei Pop, winter puts extra pressure on your heart—especially if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, or a family history of heart issues. And here’s the twist: not all heart attacks come with chest pain.

Silent heart attacks can feel like a little indigestion… a cold sweat… unexplained exhaustion. They’re easy to dismiss—and that’s exactly why they’re dangerous. 😮‍💨💬

🧣 Bundle up (hat and scarf included!)
🚫 Skip the pre-walk wine—it masks warning signs
🛑 Listen to your body—rest when something feels off

And if something doesn’t feel right? You’ve got a full team of Ascension Illinois cardiologists across Chicagoland ready to listen, check, and guide. Because no one should be left out in the cold when it comes to their heart. 💙🫀
