As we age, bone density can decrease (often without any early symptoms), putting us at greater risk for unexpected fractures. Conditions like osteoporosis can cause bones to become weak and brittle, making even minor falls or everyday stresses more serious.

Residents can take a proactive step in protecting their health by scheduling a free bone density screening with Nurse Stachula at Schaumburg Township.

Appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling 847-285-4551.

We’re hiring! Access to Care is looking for a Part-Time Outreach Coordinator (20 hours/week) to help us connect uninsured residents in suburban Cook County with affordable health care.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the community. The position includes attending outreach events throughout the week (Monday–Saturday, with occasional Sundays) and some light office work during weeks with fewer events. Flexible availability is important.
