Ashley Lea, PT, DPT, MS, ATC is a sports physical therapist currently working in the WNBA with the Phoenix Mercury. She has experience with treating athletes of all ages and levels (pediatrics, high school, collegiate, and professional). Her clinical interests include foot and ankle rehabilitation, return to sport for athletes of all ages, and psychosocial factors associated with care.

Clinical assessments of walking traditionally focus on capacity - what individuals can do under controlled conditions - yet performance - what they actually do in daily life - provides a far more meaningful measure of rehabilitation outcomes. This session explores how wearable technology can help bridge this gap between capacity and performance, offering actionable insights into real-world walking behavior.

Join the Central District on Friday, November 21 for the 2025 Residency and Fellowship Symposium, an afternoon dedicated to student, faculty, and clinician platform presentations centered around a variety of physical therapy topics. Each platform presenter will present an evidence-based background of the case, details of the intervention, outcomes, and a conclusion.
