We spoke with Savanna, the HR Representative at George J. Igel & Co., one of the contractors who hires members from our union, and she shared something important:

• Short-Term Disability is one of the most widely used benefits among our members.
• It helps workers maintain income during illness or recovery.
• It gives companies peace of mind knowing their employees are protected during difficult times.

She also mentioned that many other unions they work with do not offer this benefit.

Accrue 5 pension credits to become vested — fully vested in just 5 years if you meet requirements!
⏱ Work 1,000 hours/year = 1 credit
📆 Regular retirement age is 60 (or 62) with 5 credits
📆 Early retirement possible as early as 53 (or 58) with 10 credits
💰 Pension payout calculated at retirement based on total credits & hours worked.

As a member of Ohio Laborers’ Benefits, you have access to free online doctor visits only when your coverage is active.

Just download the LiveHealth Online app from your app store, create your profile, select Anthem Blue Cross, and have your Member ID ready.
Use LiveHealth Online for common, mild health symptoms, when you can’t visit a doctor in person, or when you need basic prescriptions or emotional support.

You can also add your dependents under “My Children” in the app’s Settings section.
