It can feel almost off-limits to talk about taking medication as a provider.

But I’m going to anyway (shocker, I know).

Medication is a tool. Not a moral failure. Not a last resort. Definitely not something reserved for people who are “really struggling.”

High-functioning, self-aware women use medication as a tool so they can:

• stay regulated
• make clear decisions
• lead with compassion
• actually enjoy their lives

I don’t take medication because I’m falling apart or because I’ve failed at anything.

I take it because I take my mental health seriously. I take it because I am worthy of creating a life I am completely obsessed with. I take it because without my mental health on point I can never achieve my goals.

Just like glasses help you see or an inhaler helps you breathe, sometimes your brain needs support too.

You don’t have to wait for chaos to earn treatment.
You don’t have to justify feeling overwhelmed.
You don’t have to white knuckle your way through life.

Medication doesn’t change who you are, it helps you be who you are. Read that again.

And if you’ve been scared to bring it up?
That’s okay.
We talk about this every day at Well Balanced Women — without shame, without judgment.

It won’t solve all your problems but it sure can help you tackle them. I am living proof and lived experiences are everything 🤍

If the post earlier this week hit home, this one’s for you.

We talked about what it means to lean in when life feels hard —
but what does that actually look like in real time?

It’s not about pushing harder or pretending you’re okay.
It’s about presence.
Intention.
Awareness.
Noticing when you’re pulling away, and gently choosing to stay with yourself instead.

Because when we stop avoiding the hard and start moving through it, we make space for healing to happen.

And you deserve that — real, grounded healing.

Save this one for the next time you catch yourself “leaning out.”
It’s your reminder that discomfort doesn’t mean you’re failing —it means you’re growing. 🌿

Sometimes the best thing you can do is let it fall.

🍃Expectations.
🍂Comparisons.
🪾The idea that you have to handle every season alone.

This fall, make space for what’s meant to stay — and let go of the rest.

We’re here to help women reconnect to themselves when life gets heavy.
