🎉 Congratulations to Earl Jackson of Singleton Health Care Center! 🎉

Earl has been named one of the recipients of the 2026 OHCA Excellence Awards for Skilled Nursing — and it’s no surprise why.

Are you a maintenance director? A handyman? A DJ? A magician? A photographer? A friend? Earl is all of the above. Since joining Singleton in 2003, he’s become the heart of the building — the person everyone calls when something breaks, when a resident needs a ride, or when a little laughter is needed most.

Known for his “Teamwork makes the dream work” motto, Earl’s positivity is contagious. From keeping the building spotless and safe to performing as “Earl the Magnificent” at talent shows, his care and creativity shine in every corner of Singleton.

Thank you, Earl, for over 20 years of dedication, joy, and excellence. Your impact is truly magical. ✨

🧠💜 November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month

Every day, long term care and home care providers across Ohio (and across the nation) stand beside individuals and families living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias—offering compassion, dignity, and person-centered care.

This month, we honor the caregivers, nurses, therapists, and support staff who bring patience, creativity, and love to every interaction. Your work creates moments of connection and comfort that truly matter.

Let’s continue to raise awareness, share stories, and advance best practices that improve quality of life for those living with memory loss. Together, we can build a future of better understanding, stronger supports, and continued hope. 💜

📚 It’s National Health Education Week! 📚

Since 1995, this week has celebrated the power of education in improving public health — and in long-term care, that impact is felt every single day.

At OHCA, we believe learning never stops. Through https://hubs.la/Q03QKdGg0, we provide continuing education and professional development for:

👩‍⚕️ Nurses & LNHAs
🍳 Dietary staff
🔧 Maintenance professionals
🎨 Activity directors
💲 Billing staff
💬 Social service teams

Every training, course, and certification strengthens care, supports staff growth, and enhances the quality of life for Ohio’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. 💙

Let’s celebrate those who keep learning, growing, and raising the standard of care during National Health Education Week!

About OHCA

The Ohio Health Care Association (OHCA) is proud to represent over 1000 nursing facilities, assisted living communities and providers of services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, home health and hospice. The Association was established in 1946 to meet the needs of the state's growing number of long-term care professionals, which today totals more than 100,000 exceptional men and women who care for Ohio’s most frail and vulnerable citizens. As an information and education resource to Ohio’s long-term care providers, their suppliers, consultants and to the public at large, OHCA performs a necessary and vital service. OHCA works hard to keep our members informed about the laws and regulations governing the profession. In addition, OHCA strives to identify and communicate best practices in order to ensure continued quality improvement in long-term care. OHCA also works on behalf of the general public, educating state legislators, government officials, the media and consumers on the pressing issues surrounding our profession and the advancements we have made in the delivery of care and services.
