The dance floor was officially open this Friday! 💃🕺🎶

When The Blue Limestone Project took the stage in the West Restaurant, the energy was absolutely electric. Having four residents out on the floor at once was an incredible treat, and the crowd could not stop cheering! Watching friends from Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care all come together to share the music was purely magical.

From TJ and Jake’s sweet, heartwarming spin to Dave and Roz (rocking those sunglasses!) tearing up the floor, these unscripted, beautiful moments are the true heartbeat of our neighborhood.

Our residents took total control of our spectacular Bunny Brunch this past Saturday! They were the brilliant masterminds behind stuffing every single egg before sending our staff out to hide them for their visiting families. Watching the kids and grandkids scramble to find the hidden treasures while our residents cheered them on was an absolute blast. Throw in an incredible feast prepared by our culinary team and a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny, and you have the perfect weekend.

Over the past few months, our weekly painting class has focused on recreating specific scenes step-by-step. But this week, we decided to take the training wheels off. Residents were given an abstract reference, minimal instruction, and one goal: Let your imagination take over.

The results were incredible! From Carol Hottenroth’s modern vibes to Iris surprised us all with a Picasso-like face created out of nothing. Watching these ladies evolve from beginners to expressive artists has been amazing to witness.

Our community dove headfirst into the world of sourdough this week. We learned the science of feeding the starter and the art of shaping the perfect traditional loaf. It’s never too late to master a new skill (or enjoy the delicious results).

When Lillian, Shirley, Iris, and Betsy get together in the kitchen, magic happens. This past weekend, they took complete control of our holiday baking event, sharing a lifetime of tips and tricks to create a brand new signature sugar cookie recipe.

Watching them laugh, debate the safety of eating raw cookie dough (spoiler: they were very convincing!), and bond over baking was a joy. And the cookies? They were so good that none made it out of the room. Sorry, neighbors!
