FYI- We will be taking time off next week to spend with our kiddos while they are off on spring break. Due to continued road conditions with the massive winter storm and remaining Level 2 advisories for Franklin as well as Delaware and Fairfield counties (where Dr B and Abbey reside), we will continue to remain closed Tuesday for the safety of our staff and patients, as well as doing our part to keep the roads clear for our amazing snow warriors. If you had an appointment tomorrow Abbey will be reaching out regarding rescheduling.

Ever wonder what a cataract is or looks like ? Check out this cool animation.

A cataract is a clouding of your eye's natural lens, usually due to aging, which makes vision blurry, hazy, or less colorful, like looking through a foggy window, and is treated by replacing the cloudy lens with an artificial one, typically through surgery. Symptoms include faded colors, glare, poor night vision, and halos around lights, but early stages often have no noticeable effects. Other causes can include diabetes, eye injury, steroids, and UV light, with surgical correction being the main treatment once vision is significantly impacted.
