How reliable is the Registry?

The registry's systems reside in a state-of-the-art, secure, climate-controlled data center, complete with multiple internet sources, power sources, and back-up generators as well as constant monitoring.

Daily on-site and off-site data backups are performed, and the data center offers "five 9s" (99.999%) reliability.

In the rare case of an outage, documents can be accessed via telephone/fax by calling the Registry.

After your document is registered, you will receive notification by mail, along with labels to attach to your driver's license and insurance card stating that you are registered with the U.S. Advance Care Plan Registry & a wallet card listing your registration number.

Once registered, your documents and emergency contact information will be available to health care providers across the country!
