Great Lakes Medical Research Clinical research site located in Chautauqua County that has been conducting medical studies for over 18 years.

Great Lakes Medical Research is a division of Westfield Family Phsicians, a private family practice group, located at 138 East Main Street in Westfield, New York. Great Lakes Medical Research has been conducting clinical trials since 1999. To date, the research center has participated in clinical trials with the National Institutes of Health, Duke University/Research Triangle, Clinical Trials Network at Columbia University, University at Buffalo Medical School, the Cleveland Clinic Cardiovascular Coordinating Center and a number of pharmaceutical companies. Great Lakes Medical Research has an experienced, dedicated team conducting clinical trials. Our team includes physicians, registered nurses, support and adminstrative personnel. The Health Care porfessional team at Great Lakes Medical Research conducts clinical trials for a variety of health conditions including, but not limitied to: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Heart Disease, Gout, and Arthritis.

A new clinical research study will be evaluating an investigational medication and its potential to prevent major adverse cardiovascular events in those with type 2 diabetes. Participants with coronary artery disease, cerebrovascular disease, or peripheral artery disease are needed.
