Will there be six more weeks of winter or an early spring? We’ll find out soon. But if your knee, shoulder, or back pain keeps coming back every winter, that part is already pretty clear.

Recurring pain isn’t just about the weather. It’s often a sign something deeper is going on. If your joints feel stuck on repeat, it may be time to break the cycle.

We’re here when you need us.

In New England, the storm may be over, but the ice always sticks around a little longer. Sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and that one sneaky patch you didn’t see coming.

Slips and falls are one of the most common winter injuries, often affecting ankles, knees, wrists, and shoulders. Sometimes the pain shows up immediately. Other times, it creeps in later and gets worse instead of better.
If you took a fall and something doesn’t feel right, swelling, limited movement, or lingering pain are signs it’s time to get it checked.

No appointment needed. Just walk in and get answers.

If you’ve lived through a New England winter, you’ve probably shoveled snow more times than you can count. And while it may feel like just another seasonal chore, shoveling is one of the most common causes of winter injuries.

Heavy snow, awkward lifting, and repetitive motion can lead to back strains, shoulder pain, and muscle injuries that don’t always show up right away.

If your soreness is lingering, getting worse, or limiting how you move, it may be more than just a tough snow day. Getting it checked early can help you recover properly and avoid a longer setback.

We’re here to help you move comfortably and safely all winter long.

When soreness isn’t just soreness

If it hurts to walk three days later, stairs feel like a personal challenge, or the pain is getting worse instead of better, it may not be “just leg day.”
Typical muscle soreness fades within a day or two. Pain that lingers, limits movement, or comes with swelling could signal a strain, sprain, or overuse injury. And January motivation has a habit of pushing bodies faster than they are ready for.

The upside? Getting it checked early can help you recover properly and get back to your routine without turning a small issue into a long-term setback.
Sore or injured?

X-rays are often the first step when you come in with bone or joint pain.

They’re fast, effective, and help us quickly rule out fractures, alignment issues, and other bone related concerns. But they don’t tell the whole story. Some injuries involve muscles, ligaments, tendons, or cartilage and may need a closer look.

That’s why we focus on more than just imaging. We listen, evaluate your symptoms, and guide next steps based on what’s actually going on, not just what shows up on a screen.

If something doesn’t feel right, trust that instinct and get it checked.

Swelling isn’t always the enemy.
In the short term, it’s part of your body’s natural healing response. But when swelling sticks around, it can slow recovery, limit movement, and signal something more.

If pain or swelling isn’t improving, it’s worth getting it checked by an orthopedic specialist who knows when to let the body heal and when to step in.
