We have a new option for in office prenatal care🎉While we will continue to offer home based prenatal visits, this option is offered at a lower rate, allows you direct access to the lending library, and helps this midwife have better work-life balance! I wasn’t sure if anyone would be interested in this but in the first 2 weeks of offering 3 new clients have chosen this option🩷✨🎉

Yesterday’s babe came in such a hurry this midwife was flying down I95 while dad relayed the birth of his 10 !!!!! baby to me over the phone. Hearing the final roar this mama made to bring her babe to arms gave me goosebumps. This woman worked so hard all pregnancy to be in tune with her babe and her body, she wanted to embody and truly own every little bit of this birth experience and boy did she ever!!! In nearly a decade of midwifing this is the 2nd birth I have missed. At the 36 week prenatal I always go over what to do in the event baby is coming faster than the midwife, and it happens so rarely sometimes I wonder if it’s worth the sometimes stressful (mostly for partners!) conversation but this is my reminder that it’s a worthwhile convo! This mom and dad (and grandma!) did absolutely incredible✨✨✨ Once this family was taken care of and cozied in their bed I headed out to help another midwife welcome a babe! This 2nd family had to work a bit longer for their babe but by late afternoon they were all cozy in bed with babe in arms. It’s a special honor to be trusted by another midwife to step in when needed and to have a family welcome you to the team late in care and get to quickly build that trust that keeps home birth safe. I came home last evening so, so grateful for this wild, magical life and community. And I slept for nearly 14 hours straight!

Last evening I got to step in for another midwife who had a couple families birthing at the same time-the first time that has happened to that midwife in 30 years!! This mom and dad worked together seamlessly to welcome their 6th baby, born right into dad’s hands🩷🎉And their midwife was able to join for much of the immediate postpartum care🩷It was an honor to get to help out another community midwife and such a sweet family!

Recovery & Postpartum Circle Gatherings…

Is this something you’d be interested in us offering at The Main Squeeze?

Please comment below — no judgment, just community. 🧡

As recovering addict myself and as mamas here at The Main Squeeze, we deeply understand the value of community during life’s biggest thresholds. Recovery and early motherhood can both be beautiful and challenging journeys, and having supportive spaces can make all the difference.

That’s why we feel called to offer what has supported us in our own healing and motherhood journeys — things like circle gatherings rooted in connection, honesty, and sacred healing community.

These would be hosted right here at our high-vibe home, The Main Squeeze Juice Shop. ✨

If this speaks to you, we’d love to hear from you:
What kinds of activities, workshops, or topics would you be interested in exploring in these circles?

Your input will help us create something that truly serves and supports our community. 🧡

The last couple weeks have been wild, to say the least. On a particularly rough day, I received a beautifully wrapped gift in the mail from a sweet client whose babe is a few months old (already!?🤯)😭🩷The thoughtfulness of this gift had me with crocodile tears running down my cheeks. I changed prenatal bags during the course of this clients care and she noticed and asked about it at a prenatal visit, I talked about how much I was loving this new brand of bag I was using. At a postpartum visit I mentioned something about a Trader Joe’s snack she had and how much I loved that store. Brief little moments in otherwise big deal appointments. As a midwife so much of this work is witnessing people grow and stretch both physically and emotionally, it is getting to know what topics bring a flicker of fear or emotion and helping folks sit with that as we prepare for their babe, it’s witnessing the mind-blowingly difficult and empowering work of bringing babes into the world and then figuring out how to feed them and manage sleep deprivation and all of the many unknowns parenting throws at us. This gift was not just a material gift-it was the gift of being seen as well. I don’t expect that or need that from my clients, but holy smokes did it crack my heart wide open in such gratitude.

And another one!🫣🎉🩷 Last nights birth was extra special-I got to help welcome the grandbaby of another midwife just a handful of months after welcoming this baby’s cousin! This first time mama surrendered to the intensity of labor and once she was ready to push she had her lil babe in her arms within 15 minutes🎉 That means all babies with March due dates are out and rockin it here with us earthside! All 4 came within a week of each other, all before their due dates, 3 of them being to first time mamas! April due date babes: this midwife would like to sleep for a week so please stay put!
