On Tuesday the NYS Addiction Treatment Providers Association went to Albany to work on removing barriers to access care and attracting and retaining a qualified work force. We are making progress and being heard. The Senate has passed Bills capping co-pays to $250 total for an episode of care (60 visits) and preventing insurance companies from arbitrarily clawing back payments years after the service has been provided. Working on getting the Assembly to step up!
Thank you to Claudia Ragni from Kenneth Peters Institute, Avraham Schick from Silverlake Behavioral Health, Stephanie Campbell from Kent Strategic Advisors and Amanda Cavanaugh from Malkin Ross for joining me.
