Note that due to the COVID19 Safer at Home Order, as of March 2020 I am doing online therapy. I use a pro version of Zoom as a platform, which is compliant with telehealth privacy regulations. I will return to working in the office when it is safe to do so. I believe, along with many other mental health professionals, that relationships are at the core of the human experience. Research indicates that emotionally fulfilling relationships are integral components of mental and physical health, and that all people can maximize their potential given a nurturing social environment. In my clinical work, a primary goal is to help my clients understand themselves and their relationships, and to foster secure connections. In addition to working with my own clients, I work with therapists to help them help their clients. I am a Certified Supervisor and Trainer in a method of therapy called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I consult with therapists, and I run workshops to train therapists in EFT, an empirically validated method of couple therapy.
