Puremedy's Original Healing Salve has been a family medicine, sold to friends, stores and doctors for over 150 years. Our magic salve was originally formulated by a Medicine Man in Quebec over 160 years ago. In 1865 when he was a toddler, our owner, Joni Siegel's, great-grandfather suffered a third degree burn on top of his foot which quickly became infected. The doctor wanted to amputate his leg at the hip, but Joseph’s father instead sought the advice of a Medicine Man. A healing salve was crafted which ultimately saved his leg from amputation, and healed the infection and burn without even leaving a scar. Today, the original formula serves as a base to create an entire line of all natural, organic, food grade products to heal skin!
