Momentum’s pediatric services help children with developmental disabilities build strong foundations early in life. Through individualized support and family-centered care, children are encouraged to learn new skills, explore their abilities, and connect with the world around them.

Our team works closely with families because early support can make a lasting difference. To learn more, visit momentum4all.org.

After polio left him paralyzed from the neck down, Ed Roberts spent his life breaking barriers. He fought his high school for a diploma, fought UC Berkeley for admission and led the movement that changed society from institutionalizing people with disabilities to supporting independent living.

Sweet lessons at Torrance Bakery 🍪💝

Our My Place teens made a special trip to Torrance Bakery, where they practiced social skills beyond ordering their favorite treats. They practiced kindness.

Each teen chose a Valentine’s treat for someone they care about and created a handmade card to go with it. While it may sound simple, giving up something you really want for yourself so you can brighten someone else’s day is not easy. That moment of pause, reflection, and generosity is where growth happens.

My Place is one of our programs focused on building social skills for teens. Experiences like this help individuals supported strengthen empathy, decision-making, and connection in real world settings.

We are so proud of these teens for choosing kindness and thinking of others. đź’•

Last weekend, individuals supported by Momentum had an unforgettable time at the 23rd Annual Festival of Human Abilities at the Aquarium of the Pacific!

From live performances to hands-on workshops, the festival celebrated the creativity, passion, and adaptive talents of people with disabilities. It was a powerful reminder of the brilliance that emerges when inclusion leads the way.

Huge thanks to for hosting such a welcoming, accessible, and inspiring event!

Our Story

PTN is committed to providing quality services for children with special needs, medical concerns and those at risk for developmental issues.

The dream of a high-caliber therapy and research center for the many families struggling to find services for their children with developmental and medical concerns was realized in 1996 when Pediatric Therapy Network (PTN) was born. Since then, PTN has become a world-renowned, multi-faceted treatment facility. Occupying more than 40,000 square feet of therapeutic space in five locations in Torrance, Inglewood and Long Beach, PTN annually delivers more than 150,000 hours of innovative programs and services to 2,500 children.

The need for PTN’s services continues to grow. Today, with 1 in 6 children diagnosed with a developmental disability, the ability to provide these crucial services is at the heart of PTN’s mission.
