Invitation, Intake & Integration
From first visit to faithful belonging
What happens after a family steps onto your campus matters just as much as the invitation that brought them there. This roundtable focuses on the full onboarding journey of guests impacted by disability—from first impressions and intake conversations to meaningful integration into the life of your ministry and church. Together, we’ll explore the nuanced, often unseen spaces in between: handoffs, follow-up, communication gaps, and helping families move from “new” to known.
Together, we’ll consider questions like:
•What does a genuinely welcoming first moment look like for families impacted by disability?
•How do we gather the information we need without making intake feel clinical or overwhelming?
•Where do families most often fall through the cracks—and why?
•How do we follow up in ways that build trust rather than pressure?
•What does “integration” actually mean beyond attendance?
•How do staff, volunteers, and systems stay aligned as families move from guest to belonging?
What makes this a roundtable:
This is a collaborative conversation, not a one-way presentation. Leaders gather to share what’s working, name what’s not, and learn from one another’s real experiences. You’ll gain language, perspective, and next steps shaped by peer wisdom and guided discussion—because sustainable disability ministry is built better together.
