Working in the child welfare system with families is an opportunity to promote peaceful resolution of family conflicts. Yet child welfare organizations do not have any services (that I am aware of) in place for families to engage in restorative in transformative practices. Instead this system perpetuates an us against them model of when working with families. What would be different if we incorporated restorative practices in child welfare?
