Saw this X yesterday and decided to stand on it and wait for someone to come talk to me. Yes, I looked up to be sure there wasn’t a looming piano. 🤣 after a minute and a half my phone rang and it was a client, so I took the call and moved on.

I’ll be back “fateful X” for my next “whom will I meet or get a call from while standing there” exercise.

As I lay here about to go to bed feeling depleted, lied to, avoided, disappointed, frustrated and ready to quit.

I’m grateful I’m alcohol free.

Yes I’m super blessed and did have a terrific day but nonetheless these other feelings still creep up. Before being alcohol free how did I handle this mindtrash? I would rather not think about it.

Ahh the night before Thanksgiving. A popular drinking day when friends reunite in town before enjoying a proper Thanksgiving meal the next day.
So someone seeking a life free of alcohol needs to be strategic before indulging in a night out with old friends. One strategy is to contact those friends before meeting up and explaining you won’t be drinking.

Stay strong in your conviction this evening my friends. This one counts! It’s not worth backsliding.
