Let's say hello to Cristina!

She believes therapy should be a safe and supportive space where clients can show up authentically, without judgment. Recognizing that beginning counseling can feel overwhelming, she strives to create an environment that is calm, collaborative, and grounded in trust. Through her education and clinical training, she has developed a strong appreciation for how life experiences, stress, and past challenges shape the way individuals think, feel, and respond. She is passionate about meeting clients with curiosity as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and personal growth, using clinical techniques tailored to each individual’s needs.

In her work with clients, she supports the exploration and processing of both past and present experiences to help create meaningful goals for the future. Her aim is to empower and support clients as they move forward at a pace that feels right for them. Ultimately, she honors that therapy is the client’s space and their unique journey.

If you are interested in scheduling a session with her, please reach out to admin@graceintegrated.com.

How did you take care of yourself this month?
What progress (big or small) are you proud of?
Growth isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about showing up, adjusting, and continuing forward.

Today is National Puzzle Day 🧩
Here is a gentle reminder that just like puzzles, our thoughts, feelings, and experiences sometimes take time to piece together. Each piece matters, and even the tricky ones fit eventually. Be patient with yourself and your journey.

Meet Korrie! She works with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. Her work is grounded in CBT, DBT, and Person-Centered approaches, with a strong focus on building a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Sessions are tailored to each client and often focus on increasing self-awareness, strengthening emotional regulation, developing effective coping skills, and making intentional changes that support day-to-day life. When meaningful to the client, she integrates faith in a thoughtful, respectful way that aligns with personal values and beliefs. Her goal is to walk alongside clients as they build resilience, gain clarity, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.

If you’re open to working with a new clinician and supporting the growth of an emerging therapist, she would love to connect. Reach out to our office to schedule a session with her: admin@graceintegrated.com.

🛌 It’s mental health care.

Sleep disturbances are often underestimated, but their impact can be profound. Poor sleep quality affects mood, focus, emotional regulation, stress tolerance, and even how effective coping skills feel day to day.

Many people come to therapy feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or low without realizing that disrupted sleep may be intensifying everything beneath the surface.

Quality rest isn’t a luxury. It’s foundational.

Supporting healthy sleep patterns can:
- Improve emotional resilience
- Reduce anxiety and irritability
- Enhance focus and memory
- Strengthen overall mental well-being

If you’re struggling to feel rested, it’s worth paying attention. Therapy isn’t just about what happens while you’re awake. It’s about supporting the whole nervous system, including how you rest and recover.

Your mind deserves rest. Your body needs it. And you don’t have to figure it out alone. We have several clinicians located around the Chicagoland area to support your journey.

Freezing temperatures with ice to slip on can illicit fear but also potential insight in how to see positive aspects hidden beneath the surface. Dr. Exline (2015) describes this reframing process with cold ice and how each piece may be freezing/slippery on the outside but beautiful on the inside.

What are different ways to reframe our minds to look at the hidden beauty within the aspects we fear :)

We are open. Please follow up with your clinician (or check the portal) to confirm your session location (in-person or telehealth). If attending in person, please bundle up, dress in layers, and allow extra time to travel safely in the extreme cold.

Strategies for Navigating the Cold:
- Dress in layers, including a warm coat, hat, gloves, and scarf. Cover exposed skin to prevent frostbite.
- Limit time outdoors when possible.
- Allow extra travel time in case of weather-related delays. Check the weather and road conditions before leaving home.
- Keep your phone charged in case of emergencies.
- Stay hydrated and eat before heading out to maintain body warmth.

Please take care, and don’t hesitate to reach out to your clinician if you have any questions or need support. Stay warm and safe.

About Us

As 2020 begins, I sit and contemplate the importance of therapy for families today. Where were I be personally without it? How would my children lives be different if my husband and I did not make personal growth a priority? What patterns of chaos would be happening daily in my home, in my marriage, and with the people I cherish most because of unconscious patters of dysfunction I am repeating from my own childhood because “I do not know any better.” Today, I insist on knowing better, so I can do better. That is what therapy offers to people. Have you heard the old adage, “they did the best they knew how,” as a way to reconcile how terrible older generations did at parenting. Albeit true for most, they did the best they knew how, except the best was typically abusive, traumatic, emotionally insensitive and detached. Those generational traumas being passed down decade after decade, leaving us to lean on adages like “they did they best they knew how,” as a way to cope with our own wounds. My husband and I refuse to accept the ignorance of that statement. And instead, chose on a weekly basis through our own therapy to demand a better way for us, and as an extension, our children. Grace Integrated offers to our clients a better way. Our clinicians do their own therapy, so they can help you carve out a path for your own life that is full of awareness. You no longer have to struggle, fight, and feel detached from your own life. Therapy offers a new, better way. As the founder of Grace Integrated, I advocate so fully for everyone to experience therapy because “doing the best they could,” is not best at all. Grace Integrated is a family owned and run business dedicated to healing the wounds of generations, so that we promote the new generation of best. A generation of families taught secure attachments through emotional sensitivity, parental responsiveness and unconditional love. Come and join us as it is never too late to live your best life.
