Happy World Kindness Day 💕
Today is a reminder that small acts can make a big difference.
A smile, a listening ear, a kind word — they all ripple out farther than we realize.
Let’s choose compassion today — for others and for ourselves.
Kindness is not just what we do; it’s how we show up in the world.

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans 🇺🇸
Today, on Veterans Day, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
Your commitment to protecting our freedoms and values does not go unnoticed. We are deeply grateful for your service and the sacrifices you and your families have made.
Let us take a moment not only to thank our veterans but also to reflect on how we can continue to support them in our communities—today and every day.
Thank you, veterans. We honor you.

Grief is a natural reaction to significant loss, often bringing a range of emotional and physical experiences such as sadness, anger, and even bodily pain. There’s no set timeline or a correct way to grieve. Coping effectively means allowing space for your emotions, reaching out for support from loved ones, caring for your physical well-being, giving yourself patience and compassion throughout the healing process and reaching out for help if you are struggling. Halloween is about ghosts, ghouls, and things that go bump in the night, but sometimes our real-life worries can feel scarier than any costume.

💡 Tips for a Healthy Mind this Halloween:
- Acknowledge your fears: They’re normal, and talking about them helps.
- Practice self-care: Cozy blankets, calming activities, or time with loved ones.
- Set boundaries: Say “no” to things that overwhelm you, even on spooky nights!

Remember: it’s okay if your mental health feels a little “haunted” sometimes. You don’t have to face it alone. Reach out to our office to schedule a session with one of our clinicians today (admin@graceintegrated.com).

What is OCD?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is more than being “organized” or “perfectionistic.” It involves:

Obsessions: Intrusive, unwanted thoughts or fears

Compulsions: Repetitive behaviors or mental rituals aimed at reducing anxiety

Why Awareness Matters:
Understanding OCD helps reduce stigma and encourages people to seek help early.

Evidence-Based Interventions:
✅ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Identify and reframe intrusive thoughts
✅ Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) – Gradually confront fears without performing compulsions
✅ Support & Education – Guidance for families and caregivers

💡 OCD is treatable. Seeking help is a sign of strength. Let’s raise awareness and promote mental wellness together.

This fall-inspired quote reminds us that change is a natural part of life and mental health. Just as trees shed their leaves to make way for new growth, we can also let go of unhelpful habits, thoughts, or patterns that weigh us down.

We help clients:
✅ Identify thoughts and behaviors that may no longer serve them
✅ Develop coping strategies to manage stress and anxiety
✅ Build resilience and embrace positive change

This season, consider what you might “let go” of to create space for growth, healing, and well-being.

After watching/reading and going through different challenges, can life feel like a fairy tale? Dale M. Kushner (2024) writes a study on how fairy tales offer a healing source for expressing our own unconscious struggles and the wisdom/courage to overcome them. Each story offers a portal to strong emotions that can be explored during and outside of session!

Are there any fairytales one likes to tell or reflect on for fun? :)

About Us

As 2020 begins, I sit and contemplate the importance of therapy for families today. Where were I be personally without it? How would my children lives be different if my husband and I did not make personal growth a priority? What patterns of chaos would be happening daily in my home, in my marriage, and with the people I cherish most because of unconscious patters of dysfunction I am repeating from my own childhood because “I do not know any better.” Today, I insist on knowing better, so I can do better. That is what therapy offers to people. Have you heard the old adage, “they did the best they knew how,” as a way to reconcile how terrible older generations did at parenting. Albeit true for most, they did the best they knew how, except the best was typically abusive, traumatic, emotionally insensitive and detached. Those generational traumas being passed down decade after decade, leaving us to lean on adages like “they did they best they knew how,” as a way to cope with our own wounds. My husband and I refuse to accept the ignorance of that statement. And instead, chose on a weekly basis through our own therapy to demand a better way for us, and as an extension, our children. Grace Integrated offers to our clients a better way. Our clinicians do their own therapy, so they can help you carve out a path for your own life that is full of awareness. You no longer have to struggle, fight, and feel detached from your own life. Therapy offers a new, better way. As the founder of Grace Integrated, I advocate so fully for everyone to experience therapy because “doing the best they could,” is not best at all. Grace Integrated is a family owned and run business dedicated to healing the wounds of generations, so that we promote the new generation of best. A generation of families taught secure attachments through emotional sensitivity, parental responsiveness and unconditional love. Come and join us as it is never too late to live your best life.
