Apex Health Services delivers exceptional home care for patients and ongoing support for their loved ones throughout Illinois

We had the privilege of teaming up with an inspiring group of students from Countryside Cares, an organization at Countryside Elementary in Barrington Hills, that organized a community candy drive. 🍬🍬Their goal was simple but meaningful: collect candy to send comfort and gratitude to soldiers serving away from home.💙 💙

Together, our APEX staff and these incredible kids packed up hundreds of pieces of donated candy and prepared the shipments for Operation Shoebox, an organization that creates care packages for active-duty service members.

As a hospice organization with a 4-Star We Honor Veterans ranking, supporting those who serve is deeply woven into who we are. Partnering with young people who share that spirit of appreciation felt truly special.

A huge thank-you to the students for their hard work, kindness, and big hearts—and to for the important work they do year-round. Proud moments like this remind us that honoring Veterans is a community effort, and every gesture of thanks matters.

The APEX team was honored to participate in a Veterans’ Flag Memorial hosted by our valued partners at Downers Grover Senior Living. The simple act of sponsoring flags in honor of a veteran resident provided a dignified and meaningful opportunity to recognize the service and sacrifice of the veterans within their community.
We appreciate the collaboration that made this event possible and are grateful to be included in a tribute that reflects such respect and gratitude for those who have served our country.
