If you are suffering from depression despite taking antidepressant medication, Refresh TMS is here to help.
We understand that our patients are in challenging situations. That is why we take the utmost care in providing a safe, calming, spa-like facility that emanates positivity. We have fully equipped TMS Therapy room and a caring staff to provide convenience and flexibility when scheduling your treatment.
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) uses a targeted pulsed magnetic field, similar to what is used in an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) machine. While the patient is awake and alert, TMS Therapy stimulates areas of the brain that are underactive in depression.
Once your TMS treatment protocol is complete, Transformations can assist in finding an ongoing medication provider.
Diagnostic Assessment
You will meet with a provider to determine if TMS therapy is right for you.
Prior Authorization
If the criteria for TMS treatment is met, it will typically take 3-10 business days for most insurance providers to authorize coverage.
We Partner With You
During your first appointment, a certified technician will create a targeted treatment protocol followed by your first session, which typically lasts about 19 minutes.
Daily TMS Treatment
You will receive five 19-minute treatments Monday through Friday. Protocols can last anywhere from three to nine weeks, depending on the needs of the patient.
Refresher Treatments
Follow-up TMS sessions are like “touch-ups” for your brain and can be administered on an as-needed basis.
Setting You Up For Success
Transformations practitioners don’t treat patients on a long-term basis, but we do our best to set you up for continued success by making medication and/or therapy adjustments as needed throughout the course of your treatments.
