I’ve been eyeing Lisa A. Ponte’s scarf necklaces all year — like, quietly admiring, bookmarking, circling back, the whole thing.

So when she ran a flash sale, I took that as my sign. Timing felt a little too perfect to ignore.

I grabbed the pink and blue one with the heart charm which felt representive of my girl and my boy and my love for them.

What really sealed it for me was that it’s intentionally designed with a distressed look.

Because honestly… I feel the same. 😂

Life with these kids is beautiful, chaotic, stretched, meaningful, a little frayed around the edges — and still full of heart.

This necklace feels like a small, wearable reminder of that season I’m in right now.

Sometimes the things we’re drawn to reflect our real life more than we realize. And this one just gets it. 💗💙

At a very young age, Kya developed a fear called emetophobia. During the pandemic, that fear intensified and alongside it came heart arrhythmias. We thought the two were related. A couple years ago she underwent a heart procedure at Children’s Hospital. We hoped that once her heart ♥️ healed, her phobia would diminish but instead her anxiety and phobia grew.

Anxiety followed her everywhere. Simple outings became overwhelming, socializing w/friends, sports and attending school. Yet even in those moments, Kya never stopped trying. With the support of Westwood Guidance/Therapist, her own therapist and her own incredible strength, she learned how to keep showing up. She worked through the fear day by day and she is still doing that work with courage and determination.

Kya has been accepted to Endicott College, where she will major in Art Therapy. My heart 💓could not be fuller. She has chosen a path rooted in EMPATHY, CREATIVITY, and HEALING ❤️‍🩹 because she knows what it means to struggle and what it means to be helped.

Go Kya. You are resilient, brave, and have a HUGE 💙.

Yesterday, I let Kya miss school so she could help me at the Mass Conference for Women but also so she could see firsthand what life looks like as a small, women-owned business. We were up at 8 AM and didn’t get home until 8 PM. She talked with customers about the benefits of affirmation cards and journaling for mental health and how she wants to be an art therapist and help others. She saw women supporting women, giving tips, advice, compliments but also genuinely caring about how LP Vibes started, my mission and what it stands for.

The #1 seller yesterday was my Rise & Reset Your Mind Journal. Maybe it’s best they listened to Key Notespeakers Diane Nyad and Mel Robbins which had in impact.
