Join us at our monthly Digital Health Seminar, an open, interdisciplinary R&D meeting hosted by the Digital Health Co/Lab at the University of Kansas.

This month's meeting will include a presentation by Anthony Sung, MD & Frank Materia, PhD, MHS on Tips and Tricks for Identifying and Developing Digital Health Grants, followed by Q/A and open discussion.

These seminars provide a unique platform for innovators at all career stages to present their work, including innovations, grant proposals, business plans and investor pitches. Participants will benefit from invaluable feedback from experienced professionals.

We are thrilled to announce Dr. Joshua Smyth, Ohio Eminent Scholar in Health Psychology at The Ohio State University, as our Innovators Day 2025 keynote speaker.

Dr. Smyth will explore how researchers and clinicians can design and implement new digital health tools that promote patient acceptance and long-term engagement. Drawing on his expertise in ambulatory assessment, interventions and mobile and digital delivery systems, he will share practical strategies for building collaborative teams, generating pilot data and laying the foundation for future grants and product development.

With more than 400 publications, an h-index of 91 and over $175 million in NIH funding, Dr. Smyth is an internationally recognized scholar, mentor and leader in digital health.

Join us at our monthly Digital Health Seminar, an open, interdisciplinary R&D meeting.

This meeting will include a presentation by Andrés M. Bur, MD, FACS on Radiogenomic Predictors of Head and Neck Cancer Treatment Response followed by Q/A and open discussion.

In this presentation, Dr. Bur will share research supported by the Kansas Institute of Precision Medicine focused on developing predictive models for treatment outcomes in patients with head and neck cancer undergoing definitive chemoradiation therapy. By integrating imaging and molecular data, this work aims to advance precision oncology through the development of algorithms that identify patients at risk for treatment failure — enabling earlier detection of disease progression and more timely therapeutic intervention.
