Wethersfield ~ Glastonbury
Our family serving yours since 1943
Funeral and Cremation Services Farley opened the Thomas F. Robert P.

The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home began serving residents of Hartford and surrounding towns in 1943 when Thomas F. Farley Funeral Home at 96 Webster Street in Hartford. Sullivan joined the funeral home after attending the New York School of Embalming and Restorative Art. In time, Mr. Sullivan assumed the role of managing and operating the funeral home for Mrs. Thomas F. Farley. Upon the death of Marguarite Farley in 1964, Bob Sullivan continued to operate the funeral home, eventually assuming ownership. Bob was joined in the funeral home by his sons Bob, Kevin and Tom as they each graduated and became licensed Embalmer/Funeral Directors. In 1976 Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home purchased the Sullivan Funeral Home at 50 Naubuc Avenue in Glastonbury, thereby expanding its service to families in the Glastonbury/East Hartford area. In 1996 the Webster Street facility, in Hartford, which had served as the funeral home for 53 years, could no longer accommodate the growing size of funerals, creating an opportunity for Mr. Sullivan to purchase a building at 34 Beaver Road in Wethersfield. This 11,000 sq. ft. building was remodeled and transformed into a state of the art facility.

Allan D. Clark, affectionately known as “Alfie” or “Mr. Clark,” 88, of Rocky Hill, CT, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026. Born on June 28, 1937, in Hartford, CT, he was a devoted husband to Joyce Clark for 64 years and a loving father to David and Nancy.

Alfie was a hard-working man, dedicated to providing for his family and serving his beloved community of Wethersfield, CT. He was a magnetic force; people gravitated towards him, as he touched many lives through his work, meeting countless students, staff members, and townspeople who adored him.

Alfie's hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed volunteering with the Wethersfield Fire Department and would often talk about the Lumber Yard Fire, which was his first call with the department and the Riots at the old prison, which was where DMV now sits. He would spend much of his time working with the Boy Scout Troop 33, taking them on trips to Lake George, the beach, and the Klondike. His love for his town and community was something he shared with his children, leaving a mark on us that will never fade.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, his son Dave, and daughter-in-law Kelly Clark, his daughter Nancy and son-in-law Todd Gianetti; his beloved and cherished Grandchildren, Matthew Clark and his wife Briana, Jimmie and Erin Clark, Zachary and Joshua Gianetti, Xaden, Colby, Garin and Madoc Vardanian, his sister, Lillian Jane Keifer, Robert Dudek, Brother-in-law, and Susan Saulnier, Sister-in-law, as well as many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Friends and family may call on the Clark family on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:30pm in the funeral home. Burial to follow in Village Cemetery, 1 Marsh Street, Wethersfield. The family wishes to thank the incredible staff at Amberwoods of Farmington and the staff at Beacon Hospice for the love and care they provided Alfie in his final days.

We find comfort in knowing that Alfie's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.

Michael J. Lostocco, 66, of West Haven, Connecticut, died on January 15, 2026. He was born in Hartford and grew up in Old Wethersfield. He leaves his three sisters, Susan Nadathur of Lajas, Puerto Rico, Lisa Musco and her husband Steve of Simsbury and Judy Rowley of Newtown. He also leaves a brother, Bill Lostocco and his wife Elaine of Haddam. Michael is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncle and friends. He was extremely proud of, and had a special place in his heart, for his nieces Sita and Lindsey and nephew Alex, who loved and supported him unconditionally throughout their entire lives. He will be especially missed by his partner Irva Pierre-Louis. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Louise Lostocco, who were always there for him, and his beloved brother-in-law, Govind Nadathur.

Michael had a love of history, antiques, and collectible clocks and watches, which he was introduced to by his father at a young age. Many hours were spent together restoring and fixing antique timepieces and attending trade shows. Michael appreciated the beauty and intricate workings of watches, and graduated from Bowman Technical School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, one of the last watchmaking schools in the country. His deep understanding of horology allowed him to become skilled at the craft he was so passionate about. Michael was employed by several Hartford-area jewelry stores in the service and sales departments. He was also proud to be a lifetime member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, an organization dedicated to ‘the preservation of time’, and a past member of the Wethersfield Historical Society.

Michael had a compassionate heart and generous spirit. He would always send a thank you note for any act of kindness he received, no matter how small. If he was not sending a written note, it would be a text or phone call, simply to 'say hello'. He valued relationships and those closest to him. Michael enjoyed a good Italian meal, sharing lunch at Jerri’s in West Haven, listening to classic rock, day tripping throughout New England, and had a soft spot for animals of all kinds - especially any rescue dog. He also appreciated the delicate beauty of butterflies.

Despite having his own challenges in life, Michael would give away his last dime if it helped someone in need. He spent the last years of his life as a dedicated volunteer at the Community Kitchen at The First Congregational Church of West Haven, where he never missed a day to provide food and fellowship for those in need. Quincy, Cathy and the rest of the team at the Church were very special to Michael and he felt blessed to have their love and friendship in his life.

Michael carried this message in his wallet at all times: “Time goes by so fast, people go in and out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you.”

Sincere thanks to his team of doctors and nurses at Smilow Cancer Hospital for the professional, compassionate and dignified care they gave Michael throughout his cancer journey. Michael was always grateful for their dedication and kindness.

There will be a private service at The Village Cemetery, Old Wethersfield, at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

Donations, in Michael's name, can be made to The First Congregational Church of West Haven, 1 Church Street, West Haven, CT 06516.

Jason S. Kelly- November 29, 1975-January 10, 2026 of Rocky Hill passed unexpectedly but peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones.
Jay, a lifetime resident of Rocky Hill, proudly served the community as a member of the Rocky Hill Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years, in addition to his years as a cadet, rising to the rank of Captain at Station 3.
For the past 21, Jay served as the Fire Equipment Technician for the City of Bristol Fire Department, where he earned four Letters of Recognition from the Chief of Department, as well as countless accolades for his efforts to make firefighters jobs safer.
Jason’s legacy is his commitment and service to his community, as well as his devotion to those he cared for. Jay was never one to say “no” or “I can’t.” He was a doer, in every sense of the word. His dedication to the safety and education of firefighters in Connecticut led to him being called on to serve on various state-level commissions to ensure that all firefighters are appropriately equipped to be as safe as possible when facing the hazards of their duties.
Jay left no stone unturned in his work. His meticulous nature and attention to detail is renowned in the emergency vehicle industry in the state of Connecticut. In his efforts, Jay not only made sure his work was in order, he knew, first hand, the importance of properly maintaining essential equipment for life saving operations.
While he was all business when it came to his work, Jay was also well known for his sense of humor and ability to make everyone he met feel at ease, smile, and share the biggest laughs they ever had. Jay’s Irish wit and gift of the gab made him a charismatic and natural leader—and simply, someone who could enter a room and instantly make it brighter.
Jay was fearless in his work and in his love of family and friends. He was a fierce, fierce protector of those he loved and it is undoubted that he will remain vigilant as he continues to watch over them.
Jay leaves behind his beloved wife Tracy and their amazing daughter Mackenzie of Rocky Hill as well as close family friends Patrick and Amy Cone of Rocky Hill, Debbie Cone of Rocky Hill, Joseph and Lisa Avolese of Rocky Hill, Jessica and Robert Doughty of Berlin, Cayla and Steven Sliva of Wethersfield, Bill and Michelle Conlan of Rocky Hill, Bryan and Marcie Addie of Rocky Hill, Tom and Meghan McNamara of Rocky Hill, and Scott and Karen Potter and family of Rocky Hill. He will be missed deeply by his beloved dogs Murphy and Charlie and will be meeting Fred and Jaxon over the rainbow bridge. Jason is predeceased by his father, Chief Harry Kelly (RHFD).
Tracy and Mackenzie are grateful for and thankful to Chief Rick Hart, Lt. Bob Lavoie and Lt. Brian Plourde of the Bristol Fire Department, and Deputy Chief Mark Gentile of the Rocky Hill Fire Department for their care and support.
In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to support a secure future for Mackenzie. Checks may be sent to IAFF Local 773 ℅ Mackenzie Kelly, PO Box 984 Bristol, CT 06010

Our Story

The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home began serving residents of Hartford and surrounding towns in 1943 when Thomas F. Farley opened the Thomas F. Farley Funeral Home at 96 Webster Street in Hartford. Robert P. Sullivan joined the funeral home after attending the New York School of Embalming and Restorative Art. In time, Mr. Sullivan assumed the role of managing and operating the funeral home for Mrs. Thomas F. Farley. Upon the death of Marguerite Farley in 1964, Bob Sullivan continued to operate the funeral home, eventually assuming ownership. Bob was joined in the funeral home by his sons Bob, Kevin and Tom as they each graduated and became licensed Embalmer/Funeral Directors and in 2015 Tom’s son, Bob’s Grandson, Brendan joined Farley-Sullivan and is a third generation funeral director.
