Connecticut Funeral Directors Association (CFDA)

Connecticut Funeral Directors Association (CFDA) Based in Wethersfield, Conn., CFDA is comprised of funeral directors at more than 220 funeral homes

Every day, we face new experiences and challenges in funeral service. Some are specific to the business of serving the family and friends of ones lost. Others are helping consumers make important decisions that are personal and meaningful to them, including planning ahead and prefunding funerals. Increasingly, our organization responds to our funeral director members' questions about trusts, taxes, marketing and licensing, and the ever-changing requisites for employees, their insurance, their rights and their responsibilities. These solutions and their resources are the business of CFDA.

FIAT-IFTA Seeks Participation in Embalming Practices Survey

International Federation of Thanatologists Associations (FIAT-IFTA), the world organization of funeral service practitioners, invites funeral directors and embalmers throughout the globe to take part in the first-ever global survey on embalming.

The survey aims to capture a comprehensive picture of embalming and preparation practices around the world and is designed to reflect the diversity of approaches to body preparation and care globally.

Work toward establishing global minimal standards for different types of embalming.
Improve the care provided to bereaved families everywhere.

By participating, you are contributing to a global effort to advance the funeral service profession and the service provided to grieving families. The survey is open until September 20.
