We made National News here at Wewoka!!

So proud of the efforts being put forward!!

One important indicator of a strong safety culture is the proportion of reported “good catches,” which are near misses identified before harm occurs, compared to total reported events. During Patient Safety Awareness Week, the IHS is recognizing the facilities with the highest total number of good catch submissions in January and February. These teams demonstrated exceptional commitment to identifying and reporting potential risks before harm occurred, strengthening our culture of safety across the system.

We would like to invite you to our Annual Heart to Heart Event on February 23rd at the Seminole First Baptist Church, Bridge Building. Registration will begin at 5:15 p.m. We will have great speakers, healthy snacks, a performance from our local jump rope teams, and lots of prizes. This event is free and open to the public.

Our crews have been working on the parking lot today, but there are still slick spots. Please be careful when entering and exiting the facility.

Out of abundance of caution for our staff and patients, the Wewoka Indian Health Center will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 26, 2026.

Our staff will be reaching out to reschedule impacted patients. We tentatively plan to reopen on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Everyone stay safe, warm, and travel only as absolutely necessary.

The Walking Program Education Fun Day scheduled for this Saturday (January 24) has been cancelled due to the potential inclement weather.

The next Education Fun Day will be February 21st at the Reynolds Wellness Center in Seminole.

The Wewoka Indian Health Center will be closing early on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 2:30 PM. We will also be closed all day on January 1, 2026. We will reopen for business on Friday, January 2, 2026.

The Wewoka Indian Health Center will be closed December 24th, 25th, and 26th for the holiday. Please plan your medication refills accordingly. Our staff is here to help and will work to ensure our patient’s needs are met.
