After a traumatizing motocross crash I felt like I was never the same. 5 years later I was referred to Dr. Simkovich. After I mustered enough courage to admit I needed help, I went for a consultation. Hearing him reassure me that he can help made me feel like I was going to be okay. I feel like I am able to gather my thoughts more clearly and oddly enough I think my vision cleared up.

After a traumatizing motocross crash I felt like I was never the same. 5 years later I was referred to Dr. Simkovich. At the 2026 Lending Hearts Gala, it was truly an honor for Simkovich Concussion Institute to support such a meaningful evening and to witness powerful stories of courage and generosity.

We celebrated 10-year-old Penelope Byler, who was diagnosed with a rare cancer at just 2½ years old. After 42 weeks of chemotherapy, 24 weeks of maintenance therapy, and four surgeries, she is now 10 years old and cancer-free — an extraordinary journey of resilience and hope.

Congratulations to this year’s Honoree, Mr. Chip Ganassi, for his remarkable achievements in the auto racing industry and his meaningful impact within the community — as well as his own strength as a cancer survivor.

Great thanks and appreciation to Vasso Paliouras and the dedicated Lending Hearts team for another exceptional event — a powerful testament to compassion and unwavering commitment to families facing unimaginable challenges.

At the 2026 Lending Hearts Gala, it was truly an honor for Simkovich Concussion Institute to support such a meaningful evening and to witness powerful stories of courage and generosity.
