Steve had his routine check up at Jimmy Fund today and everything looked great! His next appointment will be two years since his PTLD diagnosis post transplant. Crazy how quick the time went. Since we were in Boston early we were lucky to get some free passes to the from staff. Stevie loved the aquarium and was especially excited to see “Nemo” and “Dory” at the aquarium!

Thank you Weymouth Firefighters Local 1616 and Fred Happel for putting on an amazing contest for the Weymouth community!! Stevie helped shovel and measure 3 feet around a fire hydrant during the recent snowstorms and was entered into the contest. We are happy to say Stevie was one of the lucky winners and will get a ride to school in a fire truck this spring! He is so excited and over the moon!! We can’t get the smile off his face 🚒🧯

The best trip to Florida!! Steve got to spend time with his grandparents, go to Disney, and be outside!

We had a blast at Disney!! His favorite things were definitely the rollercoasters, meeting characters, and the amazing experience at Chef Mickey’s. Because of his transplant he is not supped to eat at buffets but Chef TJ went out of his way to prepare food in the back for Stevie. He didn’t just bring food out but rather made an amazing display and made Stevie feel like a star!

Steve’s love for first responders continues even on vacation. The Reedy Creek Fire Department gave Stevie two patches to add to his patch collection and members of the Wildwood Police Department came over to say hi to Stevie while he was watching them at work and even put on his bracelet!

It has been such a fun trip to get out of the cold and it is never lost on us on how truly lucky we are to be able to make these memories with Stevie!

Busy day of appointments today for Steve!

First was his three month appointment at Jimmy Fund to monitor PTLD. Next we headed across the street for an IVIG infusion at Boston Children’s Hospital to help his immune system. Hoping this helps him through the winter.

The hardest part was getting him to take his premeds, but he always handles these long days so well!

Steve was honored to be invited to walk with today in the Weymouth Veterans Day Parade. Thank you to all our Veterans for their service and their families. This parade was a great way to honor them and the did a great job as usual!

Steve had such an amazing night trick or treating with Maggie and Quinn! Maggie was amazing to Steve bringing him up to all the different houses and helping him pick out candy! He was so excited he ran as fast as he could to each house. He came home with quite the haul! It was such a fun night 🎃🎃🎃

BHT is proud to be a part of The Brewster Ambulance touch a truck in Weymouth , thank you to our drivers Derek and Nick for showing kids how flatbeds work and letting them operate controls , also we had a special appearance by one of our favorites little Stevie Squillante ! Glad you had fun Stevie !

We had a busy weekend! Sunday Steve walked in the Irish Heritage Day parade with Team Happel and ! He had so much fun waving and handing out candy!

Earlier this weekend he got to visit station 1 and check out the fire truck that he always sees driving by the house! He also got to meet the new Mayor of Weymouth which was so cool!

He saw so many friends and had a blast!!

It was a fun filled weekend! We got to go the game with and meet other transplant recipients. It was awesome seeing Steve run around with the other kids and be able to connect with the families.

On Sunday we attended annual family festival at the zoo! Steve loved meeting all the characters and superheroes, riding the carousel and was so excited to see his friends Maggie and . We were so thankful to be invited to this event again, it is such a fun day for the kids and families!!

We had the best day Saturday at Pediatric Transplant Family Day. Steve had so much fun! He got to see all his nurse, doctor, and transplant friends. He played mini golf, went to the arcade, and got his face painted. Thank you to the Pediatric Transplant Center at Boston Children’s Hospital for putting on such a special event for the kids and families.

He also got to play his first soccer game for Weymouth Youth Soccer 🥹

But today he is at Boston Children’s getting an IVIG infusion helping his IgG levels which were low. He gave us a thumbs up to let us know he’s got this today! 💪🏻
