Pine Shanty is the small hobby farm my husband and I call home along with our young son and daughter. We are nestled in the Pine Barrens of southern New Jersey, where its a challenge to live off the land, but we try to anyway. We share our land with our 3 cats, 3 dogs, dozens of chickens, quail, ducks and 5 rabbits and our garden is bigger than our shanty (our house.) I have been collecting rocks since I was old enough to walk. At first my my collection consisted of rocks gathered around my parents property. My parents would even bring me home a rock from their travels as a souvenir. As I got older I started collecting minerals purchased from a metaphysical store. That is when I began to realize the true power a simple stone produced. I love that I can combine my hobbies of collecting stones and jewelry making. I've been making macrame jewelry for 17 years, the thought of that makes me feel old. At first it was a way for me to pay for my summer concert travels while in college. I would sell my crafts at shows such as Phish, Further and the Dead. These days I make my creations while sitting in our yard listening to the roosters crow. I'm a wife, a mommy, a marine biologist, and a hobby farmer. Somewhere in-between all those things I'm a jewelry designer as well~

Fun Etsy Fact - They can deactivate your listings if their search *bots* find your listing images on other marketplace sites.

My Money Maker bracelet was removed from Etsy because someone (on that Ally site) copied my image, removed my copyright mark and listed it as their own. Etsy doesn't even allow sellers to verify the item is indeed their own. Yup, that's right. They take down your listings without the right to defend yourself.
