We’d like to thank Maureen and Mattyks Line Dancers for their recent donation to South Shore VNA!

This generous group donated dozens of sets of pajamas in all sizes for our VNA patients, ensuring they’ll be warm and cozy this winter.

The donation was made possible by the group’s ongoing fundraising efforts, which include regular line dancing nights in Marshfield.

If you’re interested in joining the group for line dancing, they meet on the first, second, and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 6:30 PM at the Marshfield VFW, located at 655 Main Street in Marshfield.

The fee for line dancing is donation-based, so stop by for a great time.

Earlier this month, South Shore Health EMS and Boston MedFlight collaborated to hold two training sessions for EMS colleagues and local first responders.

These trainings, which were held at our EMS Operations Facility on Winter Street and at Union Point, covered landing zone setup and safety protocols, safely working around aircraft during a patient transfer, and overviews on lifesaving care techniques, including intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

Training sessions like these offer valuable insight into air medical operations and advanced critical care transport.

We’re proud to work closely with Boston MedFlight and are grateful to all of the participants who made these sessions successful!

Thank you to the Thimbles and Friends Quilt Guild!

Last week, Thimbles and Friends donated more than 50 quilts and afghans to South Shore VNA. These blankets were handmade by members of the Guild and feature unique, colorful patterns for both adult and pediatric patients.

The VNA Team will distribute these blankets to patients in need, providing warmth and comfort.

This most recent donation was the latest in a long line of donations from Thimbles and Friends, who have been very generous to our patients.

This thoughtful group held a holiday raffle this year to benefit patients at the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center at South Shore Health.

Thanks to the generosity of both colleagues and our community exercise class participants, the raffle raised more than $3,600!

Thanks to the creativity and generosity of the colleagues at our Home Care Division office in Rockland, this year's South Shore VNA holiday basket raffle raised nearly $2,500!

Funds raised by the raffle are used to purchase gift cards to support VNA patients in need during the holiday season.

We're grateful to our teams for their dedication to supporting our patients and for spreading holiday cheer around the office this season.
