Paradigm at The Creek was proud to participate in this year’s pancake supper hosted by the Lions Club International. It was a big success—very well organized, with lots of people enjoying great pancakes, entertainment, fellowship, and plenty of laughter.

A big thank you to the Lions Club for all they do in our community. Throughout the year they generously donate to several organizations and continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many. We are grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive community. 🥞💛

This morning Paradigm At The Creek participated in the “Wharton Takes Five”, hosted by Vibrance Health and what a blessing it was to learn more about the incredible resources available right here in our community.

There are so many needs in Wharton that people may not even realize. Vibrance Health offers family practice, pediatrics, gastro services, and a full pharmacy all in one place. Even more amazing, they have advocates in the building who will personally help guide you to the right resources and support for different diagnoses and life situations. That kind of hands-on help truly makes a difference.

If you haven’t had a chance to stop by and speak with them, I encourage you to do so. This organization is a true blessing to our community, and it’s comforting to know we have compassionate professionals ready to help. 💙

This past week, we proudly celebrated Black History Month with a wonderful potluck filled with delicious food and even better fellowship.

The table was full of favorites — oxtails, barbecue ribs, fried chicken, and all the wonderful sides that brought comfort and flavor to the celebration. Everything was absolutely delicious!

But more than the food, it was the time spent together that made it special. Laughter, conversation, and sharing a meal reminded us that one of the best ways to connect is simply by sitting down and eating together. ❤️

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Larseen Thompson! 🎉

Larseen has been a dedicated part of our Caney Creek family since August 29, 1990 — that’s over three decades of commitment and loyalty. As our Director of Support Services, he plays a vital role in maintaining our facility and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for both our residents and our staff. His dedication behind the scenes keeps everything running smoothly every single day.

But Larseen’s contributions don’t stop there! One of his greatest passions is firing up the pit and bringing people together. Several times a year, during our employee socials, he brings out his barbecue pit and serves up some truly amazing barbecue. It’s just another way he shows his care and appreciation for our team.

We sincerely appreciate everything Larseen does. His heart, and dedication make him a valued employee and an essential part of Paradim At The Creek.

This past weekend we were proud to be part of the Scout Derby! We  volunteered with the amazing Lions Clubs International to serve popcorn and support the event.

Some of the cars the kids created were absolutely incredible — so much talent and creativity on display! 🚗✨ You could really see the hard work they put into every detail.

Everyone had a great time, especially the winners! But truly, every child who participated should feel proud. It was a fun, exciting weekend filled with teamwork, community spirit, and lots of smiles. 💛

The Arc of Wharton is an organization dedicated to advocating for and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our residents enjoyed making bunnies today, and what a fun time we had! 🐰💛 The creativity and smiles were everywhere.

A big shout out to our amazing Rehab Unit for always coming up with such wonderful ideas and working so hard to keep our residents engaged and happy. We are truly blessed to have such a caring and dedicated team.

Mardi Gras is in the air at Paradigm at the Creek💜💛💚
Our residents had a wonderful time playing games, listening to festive Mardi Gras music inspired by the spirit of Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and celebrating together. We actually have some residents that have lived in Louisiana and it was wonderful listening to their stories about their Mardi Gras. We ended the fun with a delicious king cake — and of course, everyone was hoping to find the baby inside!
There was lots of laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of sweet moments shared. It’s days like this that make what we do so special. 🎭✨
