Calling Wharton County Organizations and Agencies:
Hesed House was founded in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, and from the beginning has worked to meet critical needs in order to build a more resilient community. That means years of long-term flood recovery to pandemic, winter storm and hurricane response. Now, we face a growing crisis: many of our most vulnerable neighbors are without adequate food.
This includes families with medically complex children, medically fragile adults, foster children, pregnant mothers, and the elderly. This could be your neighbor, coworker, or even someone in your own family.
We are inspired by the community's efforts to address this. To maximize our impact, we are calling on agencies and organizations to join us in gathering our resources and collaborating for a coordinated response.
**This is a call for local churches, agencies, organizations, and businesses to join a coordinated effort.**
