Thanks to our friends from Indian Feather Ranch for choosing to join us as co-owners of Lady H Brooklyn Manso 893/5. Mark and Van along with their families have not only become partners but dear friends. We believe the Brooklyn 893/5 heifer will hang plenty of banners before joining their elite donor pen. Sired by Mr H Malone Manso 326/9.

He did it again! This time with our favorite +JDH Turkana Manso 607/6 daughter, Lady H Vashti Manso 289/9. INTRODUCING - Mr H Must Be Maddox Manso 906/5 - Another outstanding son of +Mr H Maddox Manso 684. Must Be Maddox 906/5 joins a long list of impactful sons: Bogota 253/0, Buckle 111/9, Morton 964/7, Preston 333/2, Elijah 281/2, Pride of Maddox 684/8, and Malone 326/9. In a world where we are drawn to the next big name sire, a question I’m often asked during my International travels is why do some bulls have a longer shelf life than others? Why after nearly twenty five years do some bulls that worked then, still work today? Two reasons, Production and Consistency. Bulls that meet the expectations of cattlemen worldwide are usually used much longer on various continents and by many countries because they can be trusted. We are all in this business to breed cattle that can be marketed at a premium while minimizing the risk for inferior cattle. For Brahman, it looks like Breed Character, Structure, Production, Consistency, and Longevity. While thinking about your favorite sires of the last twenty five years, also think about their contribution to the breed. As exhibitors we all like to hang banners, and as judges we like to slap the next great one. But as breeders we must be careful of the one shot wonders.

Oh my ❤️… when you are actually in the cattle business, breeding decisions are crucial. Knowing when to sell and when to keep are just as important. Our loyal customers and partners have stepped up the last two years purchasing a large majority of our show team and we are forever grateful! This year with our children and grandchildren taking a more active role we are keeping a few more females and bulls. San Antonio and Houston will be your first opportunity to see the future of Heritage Cattle Company. We hope you will stop by our stall for Mr Jack’s coffee and cookies from Memaw’s favorite recipes. We always love to talk cattle. And yes we are always open to good partnerships.
