Mother Doris Edwards, a native of Louise, Texas, peacefully transitioned on January 14, 2026, after a life marked by faith, service, and devotion to family and church. She is preceded in death by her husband, R.T. Edwards, and her son, Louis Edwards, Sr., and is survived by her children, Doris Tenah, Odis Edwards, and Norma Edwards.

Mother Edwards was a faithful member of Holy Temple COGIC for more than 50 years, where she served as a pillar in the Louise community. After relocating to Florida over 12 years ago, she became a devoted member of Lighthouse EPC Church in Gainesville, Florida.

To honor her legacy, the following services will be held:
