Are you trying to conceive in 2026?
There is a LOT of reading material out there, but not all of it is super user friendly or written in a way that makes sense. These are 4 of my personal favorite books for people to read before they try to conceive. They are all pretty different though:
Expecting Better is written to clear up common pregnancy and birth choices that can seem confusing and is written by an economist. While it is very gendered, so is all of the research it pulls from and you can't replace the information in this book.
Baby Making For Everybody walks you through personal stories of different options and all the different ways you can make a baby as a couple. It is very gender and sexuality diverse and is written by affirming midwives.
Q***r Conception is a little dense, but is very helpful for understanding what different folx can expect form the process. It has a lot of information for trans and non0binary parents to be that is irreplaceable.
The Fifth Vital Sign is for if and when you are going to stop taking birth control. It goes in to great detail about what you can expect form that process and how to start tracking your cycles naturally after which is a necessary skill to learn when ttc.
