Let's talk about being proactive with your bones. 🦴

The DEXA scan is the gold standard for measuring bone density—but most women aren't sent for one until their 60s. The problem? Bone density can decline rapidly at the onset of menopause, often well before 60. And other factors like GLP-1s, a history of disordered eating, or prolonged low estrogen can accelerate bone loss even earlier.

My recommendation: get a DEXA sooner to establish a baseline so you can catch changes early and track your progress over time. It's affordable, non-invasive, and the choices you're making in your 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s genuinely matter for your bones.

Bone health isn’t passive—it’s responsive.

Your bones are constantly remodeling based on the demands you place on them. Every walk, lift, and loaded movement sends a signal: stay strong.

Without that signal, bone density can decline quietly over time—especially with low-activity lifestyles.

The goal isn’t extreme training. It’s consistency:
• Walk regularly
• Lift weights
• Include weight-bearing movement in your routine

Small, repeated inputs create long-term strength.

Your bones adapt to how you use them. Give them a reason to stay strong.

You’re not “too young” to think about bone health, you might already be in the most important window.

By your late 20s, your bone density has peaked. From there, it’s about how well you protect what you’ve built.

Your workouts, your nutrition, your daily habits… they all add up.

Strong bones later start with what you do now.

Small shifts, big impact. 💛

Prioritizing protein at every meal is one of the most powerful things you can do for your body during perimenopause and menopause. But it’s not the only thing.

As estrogen declines, our bodies need targeted support to protect our bones, manage insulin resistance, and support our hearts. That’s why my Menopause Support Program is built around five key nutrients: Protein, Calcium & Magnesium, Phytoestrogens, Low Glycemic Foods, and Healthy Fats.

Save this as your reminder to start with a high-protein breakfast today, and click the link in my bio to download the meal plan.

After 40, muscle becomes one of the most important drivers of long-term health.

But as estrogen declines during perimenopause and menopause, something called 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 begins to occur—meaning your muscles become less responsive to the building signals from protein and exercise.

The answer isn’t doing less.
It’s becoming more intentional with how you train, fuel, and recover.

Strength training and adequate protein aren’t just fitness strategies—they’re longevity strategies.

Sometimes you need someone else to see what you can’t.

Most people think they’re stuck because they need more discipline.
In reality, they’re just too close to see what’s missing.

That’s where coaching changes everything.

If this resonates, reach out. I’d love to help you connect the dots.

Perimenopause is a dynamic physiological transition that often spans years, and can reshape how your body responds to stress, exercise, sleep, and nutrition.

When the old strategies stop working, it’s not a lack of discipline. It’s a signal that your body may benefit from a new approach
Your perimenopause experience is unique to you—and your approach should be too. Working with a functional nutritionist means getting to the root of what's driving your symptoms and creating a plan that works 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 your biology, not against it.

Her labs weren't borderline*. They were flagged. ⚠️

High cholesterol. Elevated glucose. Fasting Insulin high. HbA1c in the pre-diabetes range. These weren't numbers we could ignore.

But before reaching for a prescription from her doctor, we asked a different question: what can nutrition accomplish first?

In 5 months, through a personalized nutrition, supplements and lifestyle protocol we:

✅ Cut her Insulin by 52%
✅ Dropped her LDL Cholesterol by 27%
✅ Brought her Glucose back into a healthy range

This is what never stops amazing me about this work. When we give the body the right tools, real food, targeted strategies, and a plan that is truly individualized, based on real data, it responds in ways that consistently exceed expectations.

A nutrition-first approach isn't about avoiding medication. Often these are needed together. Instead, It's about honoring what the body is capable of before leaning into unnecessary interventions.
