While we were painting eggs the Cal-Wheat High School science class stopped by with colored chicks!!! The residents not only LOVED them but had lots of questions! The color is accomplished by injecting food coloring into the eggs before the chicks hatch. The color only lasts a few days afterward. AND……the chicks p**p the same color!

Back on National Banana Cream Pie Day we enjoyed creating delicious No-Bake Banana Cream Mini Pies. Our crust was made from smashed Nilla Wafers, our filling Banana Cream pudding, then topped with whipped cream & smashed up Oreo Cookies. There was not a bit left over!

Every holiday the NHS students from Cal-Wheat make every resident a homemade card and deliver them. The St. Patrick’s Day cards were full of jokes that were so fun to read!
