Several Participated in a new activity called "Have you ever". Make a circle and one in the center. The person in the center asked a question that started of with Have you ever rode on a tractor? or Have you ever went to dances?. What a wonderful way to get to know each other and we also learned that a worm is considered an insect and they have 5 hearts. You are probably wondering why this came up because one of us had a worm farm and sold the worms to fishermen. Several danced with Lawrence Welk. Somebody picked corn by hand they picked 100 bushels a day. They are still talking about Have you ever?

I came across this little story that my friends wrote during National Nursing Week in 2012. I have to share with you
For all you Nurse’s
Written by Tenants and Residents of
Lincolnway Villa and Wheatland Manor
2012

The Nurse welcomes you as you are brought in the door.

At this time they ask you 200 hundred questions.

They weigh you and take your vitals.

They are here to make you feel at home.

They have the most patience.

They take time to listen to your troubles and problems.

They are concerned when we are ill (homesick).

Assist Pearl to watch over her gang.

We are glad to have you around.

You always put in long hours while your family is at home.

You are always on the run to silence the alarm.

Take the opportunity to run errands for us.

You listen when we are tearful.

You comfort our families.

You always make sure we are clean and help with showers,

But most important you change our pants when we are wet.

We made our butterflies out of fruit and was able to share with our friends at Wheatland Manor. I would like to thank Lisa Betts for helping with this art project. We could have made 3 butterflies but the fresh fruit was oh so good!

We turned in $325.00 toward Cal-Wheat school District. If you want to drop of some box tops (please trim), and Printer ink cartridge we will count them and Crystal and Rose will mail them. Help support our Grand Children we are.

04/17/2015

We are giving back to our community. Rose and Crystal helps with the Wednesday after school program. One of their projects is to count the box tops and mail for reimbursement. This monies will go to Cal-Wheat school district to aid in our children's education. The children bring in the box tops and we can now count and bag them. Some times we need to recount because we like to visit but we are able to give back to the community and this is a wonderful feeling.
