✅ 2 influenza-associated ICU admissions were reported (2025–2026 season provisional total: 94 cases, including 9 deaths)
✅ 3 COVID-19-associated ICU admissions were reported (season total: 72 cases, including 11 deaths)
✅ 6 RSV-associated ICU admissions were reported (season total: 52 cases, including 2 deaths)
🏡 1 respiratory illness outbreaks were reported in a congregate facility (2025–2026 season total: 56 outbreaks)

This week, the DuPage All Our Kids Early Childhood Collaboration hosted a training on the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) application, in partnership with the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago. A special shoutout to CCAP experts Caprice Nelson and Jami Leon, who led this session with over 60 partners in attendance! After this training, partners will be able to work with families to complete their applications for affordable child care, making real change for families with young children. She shared her story of resilience and determination, and how Oxford House has given her independence, self reliance, and a sense of family. She shared, “I’m unbecoming who I was never meant to be… I’m finding my authentic version of who I’m supposed to be.”

The DuPage County Health Department's public health centers in Addison, Lombard, West Chicago, Westmont, and Wheaton will be closed Monday, February 16th in observance of Presidents day.
The crisis hotline (630) 627-1700 will remain in operation, and all crisis services will be available 24/7. DCHD will reopen on Tuesday, February 17th at 8AM.
