Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc. Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad is a non-profit charity that protects the public's health and safety. Volunteers are the heart of our organization.

Since 1955 the volunteers of the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad (WVRS) have protected the public’s health and safety in Wheaton. We partner with the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service to ensure that no call for help goes unanswered. Every year our volunteers respond to over 10,000 emergency 9-1-1 calls for service. We respond to medical emergencies, fires, car crashes, and any other type of emergency where people need help. People from around the national capitol region volunteer with the WVRS as EMT’s, firefighters, and paramedics. Join now at https://www.wvrs.org/join.
