At Marianjoy, we’re staying a step ahead.

We were an early adopter of this robotic exoskeleton. It helps patients practice standing, balance and walking through repetitive motions. It’s also just one of the many tools we offer.

We are one of only six facilities in Illinois using this advanced technology with patients. Learn more: https://www.nm.org/conditions-and-care-areas/treatments/eksoGT-robotic-exoskeleton

April is Limb Loss Awareness Month — a time to celebrate the courage and resilience of people with limb loss.

We’re proud to offer the Marianjoy Amputee Support Group as a place where people can come together to connect, learn and share everyday victories. Our group recognizes the strength it takes to relearn routines, adapt to new adaptive equipment and technology, and move forward after amputation.

Whether you’re newly adjusting or supporting a loved one, you’ll find understanding and support here. Attend our May meeting to connect with others and share experiences. Visit classes.nm.org/wlp2/classes/info/DWP009XG

When it comes to your rehabilitation, it helps to have every tool in the toolbox.

For patients working on their balance, we use a specialized treadmill that safely mimics real life walking challenges, like slips, trips and unexpected movements. Only two facilities in the nation offer this technology — and we’re one of them.

This innovative treadmill can help you improve your balance and be more independent so you can move with more confidence. It’s just one of the tools we use to support our patients on their journey to better.

Their dedication and expertise make them an invaluable part of each patient’s care team.

To our social workers and case manager: Thank you. Your commitment to our patients makes a world of difference.
