🚨 Breaking in Resuscitation Science: Chicago Shows Measurable Gains in Cardiac Arrest Survival
 
New research published in Circulation (Abstract Sa1206) highlights significant improvements in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survival in Chicago — showing what’s possible when data, training, and community action align.
A key driver behind this progress is the continued work of Illinois Heart Rescue (ILHR) — expanding high-quality CPR education, strengthening system collaboration, and helping communities build real readiness when every second counts.
 
Training innovation also played a role. Representative manikins such as CPR Taylor and Baby Tyler were included as part of their broader mission, reflecting the growing importance of realistic, inclusive training tools that help more learners build confidence and take action. We’re grateful to see solutions like these contributing to meaningful progress alongside dedicated community partners.
This is more than a study — it’s evidence that collaboration, inclusive education, and community engagement can change outcomes and save lives.
