The Perinatal Mental Health Coalition of New Jersey met with Assemblywomen Shanique Speight’s amazing team to discuss two very important bills:
NJ A2838: Requires the Department of Health to develop and implement a plan to improve access to perinatal mood and anxiety disorder (PMAD) screening.
NJ A5084: Concerns bereavement leave for death of a child, miscarriage, stillbirth, and certain other circumstances ie termination for medical reasons (TFMR).
Dr. Parisi would like to thank Assemblywoman Speight’s Chief of Staff Maxilia Desir for taking the time with us this morning. We know that Assemblywoman Speight and her team are making strides everyday to have women’s health at the forefront. Dr. Parisi would like to also thank her fellow members of the Coalition for their expertise, robust discussion, and unwavering dedication to quality, accessible, fulfilled, perinatal mental health.
