Headway: Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition

Headway's new Youth-led coalition now consists of 20 students across all 5 schools in Newaygo county. Students are encouraged to discuss topics like substance use, mental health, bullying, and anything else they would like to change in their community's. Students in grades 9-12 are welcome. The flyer illustrates some events that the group are invited to attend this year. This coalition group will provide certain opportunity's like community service hours, potential internships, and networking with lots of local resources like DHD #10, Corewell, Arbor Circle, the Newaygo County Sheriff's Office, and so many more.

Thank you to our local law enforcement for Newaygo County, and to Headway’s Prescription Drug Take Back Team. This is just some of what’s collected every few months. Boxes for dropping off your prescription drugs can be found at the following locations:
-Sheriff’s office lobby
-All local police departments
-Croton Township hall
-Commission on Aging
-Family Health Care
