On December 18th, 2025, our Gentiva Hospice – White Hall team came together to celebrate the holiday season with joy, laughter, and gratitude. It was a wonderful time filled with great food, meaningful conversations, and appreciation for the incredible work our team does every day.

We truly appreciate Kaitlynne Murphy! She is a high school senior who has been volunteering with us for about a year. She drops in whenever she has time and helps us answer the phone, put together packets, sort paperwork, and do anything else we need her help with. Thank you for everything, Kaitlynne!

Volunteer Week is here – Can we share some opportunities to change lives?

April 20 -26 is National Volunteer Week! It's a great opportunity to educate our community about volunteer opportunities they may be unaware of and one that could truly change lives. Gentiva Hospice White Hall is seeking compassionate volunteers to join our dedicated team, providing essential support to patients and families facing end-of-life challenges. As you may know, hospice care focuses on enhancing the quality of life for patients with terminal illnesses, ensuring they experience comfort, dignity, and peace during their final stages. However, we cannot do this without the help of compassionate individuals in our community.
We'd love to have the opportunity to share with you the many ways volunteering with hospice can change lives.

Make a Real Impact: Volunteers play a vital role in providing companionship, emotional support, and assistance to families during one of the most challenging times of their lives.

Gentiva Hospice White Hall thoroughly enjoyed ourselves this St. Patrick's Day! Director Shelly Walker, Volunteer Coordinator Ashley Tyre-Jones, and Hospice Care Consultant Aaron Threlkeld hosted a St. Patrick's Day party at one of our local nursing homes. We had cupcakes, cookies, punch, and of course, we played Bingo!
