I Lβ€οΈVE what I do! I just submitted an expert review for a litigation case and I feel phenomenally invigorated! I think I may have missed my calling as an attorney, lol. But l I love the work I do as a university professor, consultant dietitian, wellness coach, and now as a medical expert witness/case reviewer.
When I was in high school, I wanted to be a journalist or a chiropractor. I was a bit shy, bookish/nerdy, lol. I was on the debate team, and belonged to the journalism & rifle clubs (yep my hs (Hempfield) has an underground shooting range).
My journey of finding my purpose and what I wanted to be when I grew up was altered when I had self esteem issue as an adolescent & I tried a variety of eating disorders. My nature to strive for perfection cause me to exercise obsessively and eat a diet of only 3 low calorie foods. I looked good on the outside but inside I was a mess. I decided to focus on improving my health and nutrition. That plus a deep desire to help others lead me study food and nutrition in college. 27 years later I am now an expert in my field and I see so many opportunities ahead.
Completing this case reminded me of putting together a puzzle. Seeing all the pieces cohesively assemble as I formulated my defense report was exhilarating! It also served to remind me of how my life is being orchestrated. I see and feel each puzzle piece falling into place perfectly and at the right moment. Some pieces easily fit. Some are jagged and are difficult to understand and put into place. But each piece is required to create a magnificent and complete puzzle/life. I am so thankful, grateful, blessed for every seemingly insignificant and magnificent moment of my life! And I know with all of my essence its only going to get better from here on out! π§²β€οΈποΈπ₯°
