2025 was quite the year!

We are so grateful to everyone who supported our small business. Every visit to our clinic, every Speech Camp registration, every referral, every kind word to your pediatrician, every review, like, and share, it all matters more than we can say. Your support allows us to continue doing what we love, supporting children and adults in achieving their goals in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.

If your child is still saying "tookie" for "cookie" for "fis" for "fish" at 4 years old they could be at an increased risk for reading difficulties later on.

Help support their future reading abilities by getting into speech therapy as early as you can to resolve those speech sound errors!

We have seen many speech therapy goals written in the context of academic success. rather than life success. A benefit of seeking out private services is that the goals and course of treatment is not bound by school based criteria, instead, services can focus on whatever your child needs to be successful is all aspects of life.

With the holiday season and family visits coming up it may be tempting to show your loved ones how impressive your toddler's communication is.

Before you prompt them to "Say..." remember, communication should be fun and pressure free! Putting pressure on children to preform on command can make them communicate LESS and confuse them.

Instead, model the communication they are capable of and create situations where they are likely to communicate spontaneously (fun, low pressure, engaging play).

So many parents come to us hyper focused on their child's social skills and how they present socially. Most of the time, there are actually underlying executive function challenges that need to be addressed and supported well before we start addressing social skills!

It's true! Studies have shown that later language and reading abilities can be predicted by how a child communicates at age 2. This is why early intervention is SO important to children with any sort of delay.
