Many thanks to VTDigger for visiting our center, seeing ABA services in action, and sharing our concerns about the upcoming proposed VT Medicaid changes. There is still time to make your voice heard through the public comment period.

📢 Vermont has released updated guidance and forthcoming policy revisions for the ABA Medicaid benefit, with an effective date of January 1, 2026.
The public comment period ends December 25, so PLEASE make your voice heard!

The guidance provides clarification on:
- Concurrent billing of CPT codes 97153 and 97155.
- Qualifications for Qualified Healthcare Providers (QHPs).
- The role of BCaBAs in service provision.
- Which services may be delivered via telehealth and by whom.

Vermont Medicaid hopes that implementing these changes will root out duplicitous payments. Providers say that’s not how it works.
