🚨 PRANK 🚨

Life can get pretty serious at times, and we thought it would be fun for the residents and staff if we played a little April Fool’s Day Joke on Morrison and Sartwell! Here is a summary of what the Life Enrichment staff pulled off this week!

Kathy, our Life Enrichment Aide sat our residents down and reviewed a letter from "The Office of Regulatory Compliance, The Gaming Division"

Summary of what was in the letter.
Earlier this week, we received a very official letter stating that our twice-weekly bingo games were considered *illegal gambling activities* 😳
According to the notice, since money has been involved, we were told we must **shut down bingo immediately**… or risk fines—and even possible other penalties such as jail time for our Life Enrichment staff 🚔

The letter sounded so official that is caused quite a stir among residents and staff. No Bingo?!
Don't worry, she didn't let them fret for too long....Kathy informed them that we had responded to the letter and were waiting to hear back, even though the letter said there would be no negotiations. She then pretended that an email had just come in and read it aloud to the residents.

"Dear Morrison Nursing Home Residents and Staff,

Upon further review of the previous notice regarding bingo activities, we would like to clarify an important detail…
Just kidding 😄
**APRIL FOOLS!** 🍀🎉
Bingo is here to stay, Kathy & Luke are not going to jail, and the residents can keep enjoying one of their favorite weekly traditions.
Thanks to everyone for being such great sports—we love bringing laughter and fun into each day! "

From Rehab to Home—A Journey Worth Celebrating 🤩

Congratulations to Maryann for completing her therapy journey and being able to return home!
Maryann wanted us to know "My therapy services, whether individual or in groups was very good. They did what they could and got me back on my feet. They couldn't have done anymore, I'm very pleased with all of them".

We are happy to have been able to assist Maryann with her goals .She was an absolute pleasure to get to know. She is kind and so welcoming that she even looked after other residents during her time here. She is a lot of fun and has a wonderful sense of humor. We wish her all the best!

Our residents brought the luck of the Irish to life; from testing their wit in a lively game of "Truth or Blarney" to celebrating together at our Shamrock Shindig with mint ice cream!

The Winter Olympic spirit was alive and well here at the Morrison Communities!
Residents enjoyed a little friendly competition with a lot of laughter, smiles and cheering! ❄️🏅

We are honored to have been able to host a Quilts of Valor ceremony for our selected Veterans at the Summit.
Each quilt symbolizes gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices made in service to our country. We are so thankful to the dedicated volunteers who create these meaningful quilts and to the brave men and women who have served. ❤️🤍💙

The Quilts of Valor were made and presented by members of the Berlin Material Girls quilting group affiliated with the National Quilts of Valor Foundation. Members of the Groveton American Legion Auxiliary Post 17 helped present the quilts.
