📣Headaches AREN’T just a neck issue!!!!!!

There can be SO many reasons for why a headache chooses to pop up. The hard thing about them is that they’re not cookie cutter. What “works” for one person may not work for you, because they have MANY different triggers.

Some less common ones that we see frequently?

🩻 HIP MISALIGNMENT: when your hips are twisted, everything else will show up and compensate for that - causing muscle tightness and trigger points. Start at the bottom to unravel the top!

💩SLOW DIGESTION: if you’re not pooping at LEAST once a day, things are moving too slow. Even if you’ve been that way your entire life. When things slow down, it gives the opportunity for inflammation and chemical imbalance which can lead to toxic overload, and eventually - headaches.

🩸 BLOOD SUGAR IMBALANCE: this affects our hormones, our inflammation, blood vessel size, and reduces energy supply to the brain- ALL causes of headaches! Be sure to have a well rounded meal BEFORE you’re feeling intense hunger pains! 💪🏻

Life is a process of learning & unlearning. And when we learn something new, it’s OKAY to change our mind about something we were previously doing!

Bullet points of what I’ve “re”learned with my health:

🤒 symptoms aren’t necessarily a bad thing, rather a sign of something deeper that needs investigating

🦠 getting sick can be GOOD! It upgrades our immune system and strengthens our body’s armor…..if we let it 👏🏻

📋daily habits are sometimes more detrimental than big physical trauma

💦 water is a SEVERELY underrated and underused health tool, it’s simple that some people think it’s TOO simple to be effective

🚶 same with walking, just because it’s simple, doesn’t mean it doesn’t work…..the simple things in life *typcially* are the best for us 😉 sunshine, real food, quality friendships, and rest.

🦴 getting adjusted regularly is my ideal form of healthcare. It’s preventative, non-invasive, and serves to ensure my body is working the best it can 💪🏻 my health has completely transformed from this point alone.

So many people equate chiropractic with pain. And while pain is MOST DEFINITELY an indicator that something deeper is going on, it’s not the only sign.

Did you know that only 10% of a nerves function is related to pain perception? That means that the other 90%……..you don’t have to be experiencing pain when there’s something going on.

THIS is why we want to get checked regularly, to get on top of any issues before they even have the CHANCE to present themselves with pain perception.

Rather, let’s focus on FUNCTION. because feeling will allllwayz follow function. When things are working well in the body, you’ll breeze through life with MUCH more ease, versus constantly chasing symptoms.

That’s how we’re different than the average chiropractor.

What can YOU do to ensure you’re getting the most out of your chiropractic adjustments?

This is something we frequently talk about with people in the office - and something that’s SUPER important, as habits have the ability to MAKE or BREAK your health.

Here are 5 things to AVOID if you want to aid your healing:

🪑 sitting with crossed legs

The key to transforming your health? Keeping it simple and sticking with it.

1. Get adjusted. Not because of pain. Not because of symptoms. Because allowing your brain to FULLY communicate with your body improves function. Compound this over time? MASSIVE CHANGE. to sleep, digestion, hormones, energy. EVERYTHING 👏🏻

2. Eat real food. We always tell people to keep it simple, but what does that mean? One ingredient foods. Steak. Broccoli. Cantaloupe. Salt. Foods that are quite literally ONE word, all lumped together in a meal. It’s pretty hard to consume inflammatory processed foods when you’re doing that! Our food makes us or breaks us, take control 💪🏻

3. Do an audit on your relationships and community. Do you have people in your inner circle that inspire you to be the best version of yourself? If you do- feed into them! Givers gain. Meaning that when you feed into others, the results automatically bless you. If you are feeling like you haven’t found “your people”- get out of your comfort zone and dive into activities, groups, events, etc of things that bring you joy. You’ll naturally find similar minded people 🫶🏻 if you’re constantly stressed by your relationships, analyze how you may be playing a role, but ALSO search for a solution! Because whether we like it or not, or relational health affects our physical health. ❤️

Some truths:

🩻Health comes from the inside out. While there are absolutely so many things that we can put into our body to aid our health, without our body functioning and expressing intelligence FIRST from within all of those things have no leg to stand on.

✅The pillars of health are SIMPLE. But simple doesn’t necessarily equate with EASY. True health requires consistency over time, not fad health trends, diets, or quick fixes. Health is the long game 🏃

⏰ There is no process that doesn’t require TIME. Healing, body composition, habit forming, mindset, relationships. Quality of ANYTHING is deepened over time 🫶🏻

❤️ Last but not least…. The very things that degrade our health….you read it right. We have control over (most of the time). What we choose to eat, what we choose to fill our minds and hearts with, what we choose to put out into the world is a responsibility that is ALL our own.

Does that mean it doesn’t come without challenge? Absolutely not. But so many of the things that we choose to put into our body have an impact that can either lead us CLOSER to or FURTHER away from health 🌱

Dr. Jordan and Tate headed to Mt. Horeb this weekend for their training that they do 3x a year 🥳

Tate got adjusted & you can see the result 😂 💤

So much of the time when a baby is grumpy, uncomfortable, not sleeping well, or having trouble breastfeeding…..it’s because of tension in their spine & nervous system. And honestly, that makes so much sense.

The immense stress that babies go through during the birth process? It doesn’t just magically go away.

We have to correct the stress that was done to promote that healing response.

My biggest recommendation for new moms? ⬇️
